The event is set to take place at the Kansas City Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City on October 7 and will be headlined by a lightweight title fight between defending champion Justin Gaethje and challenger Ozzy Dugulubgov. The co-main event features David Branch’s defense of his light-heavyweight title against Vinny Magalhaes. Finalizing the six-fight main card are recently announced bouts between Shawn Jordan and Ashley Gooch in addition to John Howard vs Abubakar Nurmagomedov.

Jordan (18-7) lost a unanimous decision to Ruslan Magomedov at UFC 192 last year in what was the last fight on his UFC contract when he decided to pursue free agency and subsequently sign with WSOF. Prior to that, Jordan was on a three-fight win streak which consisted of three knockouts, two of which earned Performance of the Night bonuses. At UFC 182, he knocked out Jared Cannonier in the first round and moved on to score a hook-kick KO over Derrick Lewis in his next fight.

Gooch (10-4), who will also be making his WSOF debut, has finished all of his opponents in his last eight fights with his most recent win being a TKO over Greg Rebello at CES MMA 37. In January, he submitted Josh Diekmann with a rear-naked choke in the first round.

After a seven-fight stint with the UFC, Howard (24-12) made his WSOF debut against Michael Arrant in June and won the bout with a unanimous decision. Nurmagomedov (12-1) currently rides a four-fight win streak with his latest victory being a TKO over Matthew Frincu at WSOF 30 in April.
