UFC reportedly in negotiations for 4 billion dollar acquisition

<p dir="ltr"><a href="http://espn.go.com/mma/story/_/id/15503004/ufc-owners-advanced-talks-sell-promotion">According to an ESPN report</a>, the UFC may be sold as early as July.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p dir="ltr">The UFC, which was bought &nbsp;by the Fertita brothers in 2001, may be sold to one of four bidders for an estimated price range of $3.5 to $4 billion dollars. The four bidders include WME/IMG, China Media Capital, The Blackstone Group, and the Dalian Wanda Group with the highest bid belonging to the Dalian Wanda Group, run by China&rsquo;s richest man, Wang Jianlin.</p> <p dir="ltr">The company has shown interest in sports recently with its purchase of 20% of Atletico Madrid, a Spanish soccer team, for a reported $48 million in addition to its signing as a FIFA partner until 2030.</p> <p dir="ltr">The UFC, which is a private company that isn&rsquo;t required to disclose its financials, has not released any information regarding the situation.</p> <p dir="ltr">&quot;As a private company, we don&#39;t discuss speculation or rumors related to our business,&quot; David Sholler, vice president of public relations told ESPN.</p> <p dir="ltr">The majority shareholders of the UFC are the Fertita brothers, who bought the UFC for $2 million. They are believed to own just over 80% of the company with the minority owners being UFC president Dana White and a subsidiary of the Abu Dhabi government. It was reported last December that the UFC generated about $600 million in revenue during 2015, the company&rsquo;s most successful year.</p> <p dir="ltr">&nbsp;</p>
