UFC announces partnership with GuardLab

The UFC announced yesterday its new licensing agreement with GuardLab, a company that creates custom-fit mouthguards.

Tracey Bleczinski, UFC Senior VP of Global Consumer Products, spoke about the new deal and its benefits for UFC athletes.

“With the ever-changing landscape in professional sports, we’re always looking for the next cutting-edge technology and innovation to aid athletes that compete in the UFC. We are excited to partner with GuardLab as they continue to develop products that help improve the overall performance and wellness of professional athletes,” Bleczinski said.

GuardLab will provide UFC fighters with custom-fit mouthguards to use during competition as well as for training. Fans will also be able to purchase custom-fit mouthguards directly from GuardLab.

GuardLab uses 3D scanning to model the athlete’s teeth with a high degree of accuracy and 3D printing to create a well-fitting mouthguard. The process of creating the mouthguard is further enhanced using GuardLab’s Alignment Repositioning Cushion, which helps correct muscular imbalance, improve neuromuscular response, and increase oxygen intake.
