UFC 207 Results: Nunes starches Rousey with vicious 48-second knockout

In the main event of UFC 207, former bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey made her return against current champion Amanda Nunes after a year-long layoff. Nunes won the bout with a TKO in just 48 seconds.

Nunes wasted no time after the sound of the opening bell in going after the former champion. After hurting Rousey with a clean right cross, she continued with an onslaught of straight punches knocking Rousey back to the fence, forcing Herb Dean to stop the fight.

“I knew I was gonna beat the sh-t out of Ronda Rousey. I’m the best on the planet,” said ‘The Lioness’ in her post-fight interview. “Forget about Ronda Rousey. She’s gonna go do movies, forget about her, she has a lot of money already.”

The win marks Nunes’ first title defense since becoming the champion at UFC 200 with her first-round rear-naked choke victory over Miesha Tate.
