UFC 202 Results: Tim Means beats Sabah Homasi via TKO in the second round

Welterweights Tim Means and Sabah Homasi kicked off the main card of UFC 202. Means won the bout via TKO at 2:56 of the second round.

At the opening bell, Means immediately took the center of the octagon and pressured Homasi to the fence. Homasi began attacking with leg kicks before successfully attempting a takedown. Means eventually worked his way up to his feet and was able to land short punches in the clinch. Towards the end of the round, Means opened up Homasi, who was breathing deeply at this point, with close-range elbows.

Homasi was badly hurt by the beginning of the second round and was visibly tired as Means continued his onslaught of body shots, teeps, and short elbows. Means was patient with his offense and scored a TKO finish with punches midway through the round as Homasi curled up against the fence.

Means, who recently served a six-month suspension for a positive drug test that was a result of a tainted supplement, was thankful in his post-fight interview to be back in the cage after being on the sidelines for nearly a year.
