TJ Dillashaw set to return against John Lineker at UFC 207

Former UFC bantamweight champion TJ Dillashaw will face #2 ranked John Lineker at UFC 207, the promotion announced.

Dillashaw (13-3) was adamant about getting his rematch with current champion Dominick Cruz following his UFC 200 win over Raphael Assuncao, even offering him a $100K bet for a title shot. Before losing his belt to Cruz, Dillashaw had won four straight fights including two knockouts of Renan Barao and another knockout over Joe Soto.

Lineker (29-7) is on a six-fight win streak that includes three finishes, three decisions, and three post-fight bonuses. Despite the victories however, one of the biggest factors that have kept him out of title contention is the fact that he has missed weight twice in his last six fights. His most recent win is a split-decision over John Dodson which was preceded by a first-round knockout over Michael McDonald.

UFC 207 takes place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas and will be headlined by the return of Ronda Rousey against women’s bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes. In the co-main event, Dominick Cruz will defend his 135-lb title against Cody Garbrandt.
