UFC Fight Night 105 just lost its main event.

#10 ranked Stefan Struve is out of his upcoming rematch against former champion Junior Dos Santos with a shoulder injury. The news was reported by Combate and confirmed by MMAFighting.

“[Struve] is having surgery tomorrow morning to repair an injury to his shoulder,” a representative for the Dutch heavyweight told MMA Fighting. “He is very disappointed and looks forward to returning to competition as soon as possible. Thanks to all his fans for their ongoing support and he apologizes to Junior Dos Santos that they are not able to fight in February, but he looks forward to that fight in future.”

So far, the UFC has not officially announced the news or found a replacement opponent. It is likely thought that Dos Santos will remain on the card since the bout is still a month away.

The fight was scheduled to be a rematch of their first bout that took place at UFC 95 in 2009 where Dos Santos knocked out Struve in 54 seconds. More recently, Dos Santos scored a decision win over Ben Rothwell in a five-round bout last year in April. Prior to that, he suffered a knockout loss to Alistair Overeem in December 2015.

UFC Fight Night 105 takes place on February 19 at the Scotiabank Centre in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.
