The UFC has announced the addition of eight bouts to UFC 208 in Brooklyn.
In the lightweight division, Paul Felder (12-3) will meet Gilbert Burns (12-2) and Islam Makhachev (13-1) will face Nik Lentz (27-7-2, 1 NC). Felder is coming off of a TKO loss to Francisco Trinaldo at UFN 95 while Burns’ last fight was a decision loss to Michael Prazeras. Makhachev bounced back from the first loss of his career with a decision win over Chris Wade. Lentz has won two fights back-to-back over Danny Castillo and Michael McBride.
A light-heavyweight bout between Glover Teixeira (25-5) and Jared Cannonier (9-1) has been added to the card as well. Teixeira recently had a three-fight finish streak stopped by Anthony Johnson, who knocked him out in the first round of their bout at UFC 202. Cannonier is 2-1 in the UFC with his most recent win being a Fight of the Night decision over Ion Cutelaba.
In the welterweight division, Ryan LaFlare (12-1) faces Roan Carneiro (21-10) while Randy Brown (9-1) meets George Sullivan (17-5, 1 NC). LaFlare is coming off of a decision win over Mike Pierce while Carneiro is 7-1 in his last eight. Brown is now 3-1 in the UFC since being signed after his appearance on Lookin’ for a Fight. He is coming off of back-to-back stoppage victories while Sullivan most recently suffered a decision loss.
Flyweights Wilson Reis and Ulka Sasaki have also been matched up on the card and the bout between Ian McCall and Neil Seery has been rebooked.
UFC 208 takes place at the Barcays Center in Brooklyn, New York. So far, no main event for the card has been revealed but Holly Holm and Germaine De Randamie will be squaring off in a featherweight bout for the inaugural UFC women’s 145-lb title.
