ONE: Defending Honor headlined by Shinya Aoki vs Eduard Folayang in November

ONE Championship will be returning to Singapore in November.

The promotion announced today its upcoming event ONE: Defending Honor which will be headlined by a lightweight title fight between Shinya Aoki and Eduard Folayang. The event is set to take place at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on November 11. So far, no other matchups on the card have been announced.

Aoki (39-6, 1 NC) is currently on a nine-fight win streak that consists of seven finishes and is 16-1 in his last seventeen outings. The ONE lightweight champion defended his title last year against Koji Ando at ONE Championship 28 with a unanimous decision victory. After, that he fought Kazushi Sakuraba in a welterweight bout at RIZIN FF’s first event and won the bout with a TKO in the first round. Aoki captured the ONE lightweight title in 2013 and has defended it twice since.

Folayang (16-5) has won back-to-back unanimous decisions against Adrian Pang and Tetsuya Yamada to earn his shot at the lightweight belt. Prior to the wins, he suffered a knockout loss to Timofey Nastyukhin which snapped a previous two-fight win streak.
