Nick Hein injured, Jon Tuck faces newcomer Josh Emmett

An injury has forced Nick Hein out of his bout against Jon Tuck at UFC Rotterdam this weekend. He will be replaced by undefeated newcomer Josh Emmett.

Emmett (9-0) is an up-and-coming lightweight prospect fighting out of the reputable Team Alpha Male. He accepted the bout with Tuck, which will still take place at lightweight, on only four days notice. Emmett is coming off of a third-round TKO win over UFC veteran Christos Giagos which extended his winning streak to nine straight fights. Of his nine victories, three have come by knockout and two by decision.

Tuck (9-2) is 3-2 in the UFC so far and has not fought in nearly a year. His last victory came over Tae Hyun Bang in the Philippines where he won a Performance of the Night bonus for his first-round submission win. Prior to that, Tuck suffered a unanimous decision loss to Kevin Lee at UFC 178.

UFC Rotterdam will take place this Saturday and will be headlined by a heavyweight bout between teammates Alistair Overeem and Andrei Arlovski. The event will be held at the Ahoy Rotterdam arena in the Netherlands.
