Jonavin Webb was originally scheduled to face Bryan Barberena at UFC Fight Night 82 until plans changed and Barberena was moved up to replace Sage Northcutt’s injured opponent. Nathan Coy has stepped up in place of Barberena.
Jonavin Webb (8-1, 1 NC), a long time CFFC veteran, entered the UFC last May with an unbeaten record of 8-0. His debut was against Kyle Noke in Australia, where he lost a close fight via split decision. It is worth mentioning that most media outlets scored the bout in Webb’s favor. The CFFC champion’s return to competition will mark a 9-month layoff since his last fight.
Nathan Coy (14-6), has one fight in the UFC— a submission loss to Danny Roberts in December. Coy, who fights out of American Top Team, is a veteran of Bellator and Strikeforce. The TUF 21 alumn has won 6 of his last 8 bouts and holds notable wins over UFC veterans Rick Story and Mike Pierce.
UFC Fight Night 82 will take place in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on Feb. 21. The event will be headlined by Donald Cerrone’s welterweight debut against Tim Means.
