WEC veteran Muhsin Corbbrey will step back in the cage March 4th in a battle against former Titan FC lightweight champ Pat Healy at Titan FC 37. Once thought to be on the cusp of winning his way back into the UFC, Healy, a former top fifteen talent, defeated Kurt Kinser for the Titan FC lightweight championship at Titan FC 33 only to defend once and be stripped of the belt at Titan FC 35 for missing weight. Healy was riding a three fight win streak before dropping a split decision in that same fight. The upcoming lightweight bout was confirmed via a YouTube video posted by Corbbrey.
It's a tough fight. It's all I want at this point in my career. We're ready to get this party started and ready to show the world what I can do. Let's get it." - Muhsin Corbbrey
Corbbrey has won four straight by submission and announced that the bout against Healy will be the first of four in a contract with Titan FC, a deal negotiated by his management team at Suckerpunch Entertainment. The Florida-based promotion made headlines last year when it was tapped to have its events broadcast via UFC Fight Pass alongside other shows by Invicta FC, Shooto Brazil, and more.
The event is set to be headlined by three title fights including a main event, 135-pound title fight between Brett Johns and Ricky Simons. Johns vacated the title at Titan FC 34 and seeks to reclaim gold. In addition, featherweight king Andre Harrison defends against Steven Siler, another UFC vet, and Tim Elliott returns for his second flyweight title defense when he takes on Pedro Noble.
