Jorge Masvidal will be making a quick turnaround to face Siyar Bahadurzada at UFC 201 replacing an injured Claudio Silva, according to a report by MMAFighting.com.

Masvidal (29-11) has recently found himself on the wrong end of two close split decisions. Last November, he faced Ben Henderson in the main event of UFC Fight Night 79 in South Korea and lost a via split decision in a close five-round fight. More recently, he dropped another split decision to Lorenz Larkin at UFC Fight Night 88. Masvidal made his return to welterweight last year against Cezar Ferreira, a former middleweight, and won via knockout in the first round, earning himself a post-fight bonus.

Siyar Bahadurzada (22-6-1) is coming off of a big win over Brandon Thatch earlier this year. Bahadurzada entered the bout coming off of back-to-back losses but managed to submit the welterweight prospect with an arm triangle choke with under a minute left in the fight. Prior to that, the Afghan-native had been away from the sport for two years, with his last bout being a unanimous decision loss to John Howard back at UFC 168.

UFC 201 will take place at the Philips Arena in Atlanta, Georgia on July 30. The card will be headlined by a welterweight title fight between champion Robbie Lawler and challenger Tyron Woodley. In the co-headliner, Demetrious Johnson defends his flyweight title against Wilson Reis.
