A bantamweight bout between John Lineker and Rob Font is the latest addition to UFC 198.
UFC 198, headlined by a heavyweight title fight between challenger Stipe Miocic and champion Fabricio Werdum, will take place at the 42,000-seat soccer stadium Arena da Baixada in Curitiba, Brazil. The event also features middleweight bouts between Jacare Souza and Vitor Belfort as well as Anderson Silva vs Uriah Hall.
John Lineker (26-7) made his return to bantamweight last September following a streak of missing weight at 125 pounds. Lineker, known for being one of the hardest hitters in the lighter weight divisions, went 6-2 in the flyweight division with four knockouts. He was expected to face Cody Garbrandt at UFC Fight Night 83 in February but was forced to pull out of the bout after being diagnosed with dengue fever. In his last bout, he beat Francisco Rivera via submission in a Fight of the Night performance.
Rob Font (12-1) will be making his third UFC appearance after being signed by the promotion in 2014. The bantamweight prospect racked up nine wins straight outside of the UFC followed by back-to-back knockout wins in the UFC. In his last fight, he beat Joey Gomez via second-round TKO at UFC Fight Night 81.
UFC 198 takes place on May 14.
