Ian McCall vs Ray Borg booked for UFC 203

After the cancellation of his UFC 201 bout, Ian McCall is now scheduled to face Ray Borg in four weeks. The news was first reported by the LA Daily News.

McCall (13-5-1) was expected to face Justin Scoggins in a flyweight bout last weekend but the fight was called off after Scoggins wasn’t able to make weight. Instead, McCall weighed in and was paid his show and win money. In his last fight he faced John Lineker, who came in 4 pounds above the flyweight limit, at UFC 183 and lost a unanimous decision. Prior to that, McCall scored back-to-back decision victories over Brad Pickett and Iliarde Santos.

Borg (9-2) is coming off of a decision loss to Scoggins at UFC Fight Night 82 in February which snapped his three fight win streak. He made his debut against Dustin Ortiz in 2014 and lost via split-decision before moving on to finish his next two opponents.

UFC 203 is set to take place on September 10 at the Quicken Loans Arena Cleveland, Ohio and will be headlined by the heavyweight title fight between Stipe Miocic and Alistair Overeem. In the co-main event, former champ Fabricio Werdum will be making his return against Ben Rothwell.
