A report by MMAFighting.com has revealed that Kevin Casey has signed with Bellator.
Casey, a former UFC middleweight contestant on the 17th season of The Ultimate Fighter, was released by the UFC less than two weeks ago among twelve other fighters. It didn’t take him very long, however, to sign a multi-fight, multi-year deal with Bellator. He is expecting to make his debut in early 2017, likely at Bellator 170 which will be headlined by former UFC stars Tito Ortiz and Chael Sonnen on January 21.
After competing on The Ultimate Fighter, Casey (9-5-1, 2 NC) made his official UFC debut against Bubba Bush who he originally beat by first round knockout which was overturned following a positive test for PED’s. He went on to go 1-1-1 with one no-contest in his next four bouts with the single win being over Ildemar Alcanatara. Most recently, he suffered a second-round knockout loss to Sam Alvey at UFC on FOX 21 in August.
