Donald Cerrone Moves Up to Welterweight, Headlines Against Tim Means at UFC Pittsburgh

Donald Cerrone will face Tim Means at 170 pounds as the main event of UFC Fight Night 82.

Cerrone (28-7, 1 NC) competed for the lightweight title just two weeks ago at UFC on FOX 17. He faced lightweight champion Rafael Dos Anjos and lost via TKO in just 66 seconds. Cerrone, 32, was coming off an 8-fight win streak which included wins over the likes of Benson Henderson, Edson Barboza, and Eddie Alvarez. ‘Cowboy’, however, is notorious for remaining active and is wasting no time in returning to the octagon.

Tim Means (25-7-1), a long time UFC and KOTC veteran, is 6-1 in his last seven bouts. He is coming off of a recent KO win over John Howard where he earned a Performance of the Night bonus. ‘The Dirty Bird’ started his career in 2004 as a welterweight and has also fought at both middleweight and lightweight.

UFC Fight Night 82 takes place at the Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on Feb. 21.
