Gabriel Gonzaga was originally expected to face up-and-coming heavyweight prospect Ruslan Magomedov at UFC Fight Night 86 in Zagreb, Croatia on April 10th. Magomedov recently announced his withdrawal from the bout after suffering a knee injury. Derrick Lewis immediately called out Gonzaga for a shot at the long-time UFC veteran.

Lewis (14-4, 1 NC) is 3-1 in his past four bouts, none of which have gone all three rounds. ‘The Black Beast’ is coming off of back-to-back knockout wins over Viktor Pesta and Damian Grabowski marking his 5th UFC knockout win thus far.

On the other hand, Gonzaga (17-10) is 1-3 in his last four bouts. He snapped his three-fight winless streak by beating Konstantin Erokhin by unanimous decision last December earning a Fight of the Night bonus in the process.

UFC Fight Night 86 will be the UFC’s debut event in Zagreb, Croatia.
