Dana White Confirms Title Shot for Stipe Miocic
<p>Stipe Miocic has officially been granted a shot at the UFC heavyweight title.</p>
<p>Miocic, 33, <a href="http://www.ufc.com/news/UFC-195-Main-Card-Report">only needed 54 seconds to knock out</a> former UFC heavyweight champion and current #2 ranked contender Andrei Arlovski last night at UFC 195. High off of his victory, Miocic made sure that UFC president Dana White knew that he was ready to fight for the title in an epic post-fight speech, <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ameZnfTR8U8">“Are we on the same page, now?!”</a></p>
<p>The Ohio native is 5-1 in his last 6 fights which include his Fight of the Year candidate against Junior Dos Santos, a close bout that many thought Stipe won. Miocic is also coming off of a lopsided TKO victory over Mark Hunt, <a href="http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/sport/mark-hunt-reveals-the-damage-inflicted-by-stipe-miocic-in-fight-night-65/story-fnkju30b-1227349850084">out-striking him at a record-breaking 361 to 46.</a></p>
<p>Stipe will face the winner of the rematch between former heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez and current heavyweight champion Fabricio Werdum. The rematch takes place on Feb. 6 at UFC 196 in Las Vegas.</p>
