#5 ranked featherweight Cub Swanson is set to face rising prospect Dooho Choi at UFC 206 in Toronto, the promotion announced.
Swanson (23-7) has won two straight and is coming off of a unanimous decision victory over Tatsuya Kawajiri at UFC Fight Night 92 in August. Prior to that, the WEC and UFC veteran beat Hacran Dias by decision to get himself back in the win column after suffering two defeats to Max Holloway and Frankie Edgar.
His opponent, Choi (15-1) has been on a tear ever since signing with the UFC in 2014. He is 3-0 in the promotion with all of his wins coming by way of knockout in the first round. Most recently, he earned himself a Performance of the Night bonus by knocking out Thiago Tavares in the first round of their bout at the TUF 23 finale. He also earned a post-fight bonus for his previous knockout over Sam Sicilia.
UFC 206 is set to take place at the Air Canada Center on December 10 and will be headlined by Daniel Cormier’s defense of his light-heavyweight title against Anthony Johnson. Also on the card is a bout between top ranked flyweights John Moraga and Zach Makovsky.
