Cheick Kongo vs Tony Johnson scheduled to headline Bellator 161
<p>Heavyweights Cheick Kongo and Tony Johnson are set to headline Bellator 161, <a href="http://bellator.spike.com/articles/i4vdpa/everything-s-bigger-in-texas-heavyweight-showdown-headed-to-austin">the promotion announced on Friday.</a></p>
<p>After suffering his second loss in Bellator to “King Mo” in 2015, Cheick Kongo (24-10-2) went on to score back-to-back victories. In the main event of Bellator 139, Kongo faced Alexander Volkov and won the bout with a unanimous decision. After that, the 18-UFC fight veteran beat Vinicius Queiroz in the headliner of Bellator 150 in February.</p>
<p>Tony Johnson (10-2) is currently on a three-fight win streak and also holds a decision victory over Alexander Volkov. In his most recent appearance, he faced Raphael Butler at Bellator 148 and managed to finish the fight with just over half a minute left in the third round. Johnson holds victories over UFC over the likes of Tim Sylvia and Derrick Lewis.</p>
<p>Bellator 161 is set to take place on September 16 at the HEB Center in Cedar Park, Texas and will air live on Spike.</p>
