Bellator double-header to feature Dantas vs Warren and Curran vs Teixeira

Bellator has announced its first ever double-header which will take place on December 2 and 3.

The first event, Bellator 166, will be headlined by a rematch between bantamweight champion Eduardo Dantas against Joe Warren for the 135-lb title and will also feature AJ McKee vs Emmanuel Sanchez in the co-main event. The main event of Bellator 167 will be a featherweight bout between Pat Curran and John Teixeira.

In their first bout, Dantas (18-4) suffered a unanimous decision defeat to Warren (14-5) at Bellator 128 which took place two years ago. Since then, the Brazilian won a decision over Mike Richman to earn a shot at then-bantamweight champion Marcos Galvao, who he beat to win the title. Warren, meanwhile 2-1 with his most recent bout being a third-round guillotine win against Sirwan Kakai.

Curran (22-7) is coming off of back-to-back unanimous decision wins over Emmanuel Sanchez and Georgie Karakhanyan , getting himself back on the winning track since going through a 1-3 rough patch between 2014 and 2015. His opponent, Teixeira (18-1-2) is on an eight-fight unbeaten streak with his last three victories being split-decisions over Scott Cleve, Fabricio Geurreiro, and Gleristone Santos.

Both events will be held at the WinStar World Casino & Resort in Thackerville, Oklahoma and will air live and free on Spike TV.
