Belal Muhammad will step in on just over a week’s notice to face Randy Brown at UFC 208.
Brown was originally expected to face George Sullivan on the card but a potential violation of the UFC Anti-Doping Policy had Sullivan pulled from the bout.
The event takes place on February 11 at the Barclay’s Center in Brooklyn, New York and will be headlined by the first ever UFC women’s featherweight bout between Holly Holm and Germain de Randamie for the inaugural title.
Muhammad (10-2) is coming off of a knockout loss to Vincent Luque at UFC 205 last November. Prior to that, he won his first bout in the promotion with a third-round TKO of Augusto Montano at UFN 94.
Brown (9-1) is coming off of back-to-back stoppage victories over Eric Montano and Brian Camozzi. Prior to that, he suffered his first professional loss to Michael Graves by second-round rear-naked choke.
