Artem Lobov will take on Alex White in a featherweight bout at UFC 196 in Las Vegas, as per MMA Junkie.
Lobov (11-11-1, 1 NC) last fought in the TUF 22 Finale in December where he dropped a unanimous decision to Ryan Hall. On the show, Lobov lost his elimination bout but was given a second chance and ended up making it to the finals, scoring two knockout wins in the process. ‘The Russian Hammer’ is also known for being a close friend and training partner of UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor.
Alex White (10-2) entered the UFC in 2014 with an undefeated 9-0 record. The hot prospect had a successful debut where he knocked out Estevan Payan in the first round, earning a Performance of the Night bonus. White lost his next two fights and looks to make a rebound against Artem Lobov.
UFC 196 takes place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on Feb. 6. The card is headlined by a rematch between the former heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez and current heavyweight champion Fabricio Werdum.
