Angela Hill resigned by UFC, set to face Jessica Andrade in February

Angela Hill will get another shot in the UFC.

The UFC announced that she was re-signed and scheduled to face #5 ranked Jessica Andrade at UFC Fight Night 104.

This means that she will be bypassing USADA’s typical requirement of being drug tested for four months before returning to UFC competition, a rule that will be changed in the near future.

Hill (6-2) competed on The Ultimate Fighter 20 as part of the UFC’s introduction of the strawweight division where she lost to eventual tournament winner Carla Esparza in the elimination round. After that, she went 1-2 in the promotion before being released and signing with Invicta FC. She is currently on a four-fight win streak which includes her decision victory over Livia Renata Souza to capture the Invicta strawweight title.

Andrade (15-5) dropped down from bantamweight to strawweight last year in June and was welcomed to the division by Jessica Penne, who she stopped by TKO in the second round. In her next fight, she submitted Joanne Calderwood with a guillotine late in the first round earning herself a Performance of the Night bonus and extending her record to 2-0 in the division.

UFC Fight Night 104 takes place at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas on February 4. The event will be headlined by the return of Chan Sung Jung against Dennis Bermudez.
