Alessio Sakara vs Brian Rogers set as main event of Bellator 152 in Italy

Alessio Sakara will face Brian Rogers in the main event of Bellator 152 on April 16.

In November, Bellator President Scott Coker announced that the promotion would be heading overseas to hold international events. The first of these events is Bellator 152 in Turin, Italy which will be co-promoted with Oktagon, an Italian Kickboxing promotion. The event will feature MMA and Kickboxing bouts.

UFC veteran Alessio Sakara (17-11, 2 NC) was picked up by Bellator in November. Sakara has spent the significant part of his career in the UFC, where he compiled a 6-8 record. He was released by the UFC in 2013 after losing four bouts in a row. He returned to MMA over a year later as a light-heavyweight in a fight that resulted in a no-contest. His latest fight is a TKO win over Dib Akil in FFC, a European MMA promotion.

Brian Rogers (12-8), a former college football player, was signed by Bellator back in 2011 as a promising 7-2 prospect. His career in Bellator has not been as consistent as he would've hoped since he has yet to secure two victories in a row. The 31-year old has put together a 5-6 record in the promotion. Most recently, Rogers beat Virgil Zwicker via submission in the second round at Bellator 147. Rogers is well-known for his knockout power and his exciting fights.

Bellator 152 will take place on April 16 in Turin, Italy.
